Can today's electronic drum sets sound like the ones from the 80's? Is there a certain way you can tune em or what? I want the snare to have like a csh sound when i hit it and all the other pads to have a bunch of funky noises when ya hit em. I am currently using a Yamaha Dtxpress electronic drum set. Sometimes, when I hit certain pads, the set will actually think I'm hitting a cymbal or some other pad that I didn't even touch. I know these false hits are occuring because of the vibrations that travel through the drum rack. My question is: is there something I can do to the rack to stop these vibrations? Maybe wrap something around the rack?? Thanks for ANY info!
