how to record with electronic drums?

ok so i really need a vary basic way to record my electronic drums on my laptop while playing. i dont want to edit the sounds, i just want to record right away please help me... tell me everything that i need, can i just record by plugging it on my mic jack on my pc's sound card? if so, how?
Yes, usually you can just connect your drums’ phones jack to your computer’s mic jack. Just get a cable with 3.5mm lines on each side, and then a an adapter (if needed) to go from 3.5mm to 1/4″.
After it’s all connected, download Audacity. It’s a freeware audio recorder/editor. It usually has fantastic results for being free.
